Jesus is the Light of the world

Published by rimbaman at 23:54 pm under Devotionals

“After He said this, Jesus spat on the ground and made some mud with the spittle; He rubbed the mud on the man’s eyes and told him, “Go and wash your face in the Pool of Siloam.” (This name means “Sent.”) So the man went, washed his face, and came back seeing.” (John 9:6-7 TEV)
This man was born blind from his birth (John 9:1). One day, Jesus rubbed mud on his eyes and asked him to wash his face. When he did, he could see for the first time in his life.
Mud is dirty, irritating to the eyes, and may even cause infection. But Jesus used it to restore his sight. God can use what is dirty, irritating, and even harmful to bring light into our lives. So, come what may, let us be thankful. For ” I consider that what we suffer at this present time cannot be compared at all with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18). Let us entrust our lives to Jesus, He will not disappoint us.
